Samara National Research University is one of Russia’s top academic institution and one of world’s leading aerospace centers. The university has participated in the elaboration and the construction of Russian’s space program since 1957, the successes of the “Vostok” and the “Soyuz” (and nowadays with the engineering of the “Soyuz-5”).
While developing these technologies, the university has also advanced in related spheres, in particular in the fields of geoinformatics, big data processing, nanophotonics and gas-turbine engines.
The university now counts more than 22,000 students divided into 16 faculties.
